Q: How does billing work?
A: Start with a 7-day free trial on our Starter plan. After that, you're billed monthly: $9 for one text/day, $15 for two, or $20 for three. Cancel anytime. No contracts, no guilt trips.
Q: What happens if I cancel my subscription?
A: Two clicks and you're out. Your alerts keep running until the end of your billing cycle, then they stop. We won't make it weird.
Q: Are there any hidden fees?
A: No. The price you see is the price you pay. Our subscription model is all-inclusive with no hidden fees or extra charges.
Q: How do I connect my bank account?
A: Simply log into your account, navigate to the bank connection section, and follow the prompts. Our Plaid integration ensures your account details are linked securely and quickly.
Q: How do I update my SMS alert preferences?
A: Head to your dashboard and tweak your schedule whenever you want. Morning person? Night owl? We don't judge. Change it as often as you like.
Q: How is this different from my bank's low balance alerts?
A: Banks send alerts reactively—when your balance drops below a threshold or when you're already negative. By then, it's often too late. Secure the Bag sends your balance proactively, at the exact time you schedule. You get the information before transfers hit, before auto-pays clear, and before overdrafts happen. The difference is timing: we tell you when you can still do something about it.
Q: What if I have multiple bank accounts?
A: Secure the Bag supports unlimited bank connections on all plans. Whether you have separate checking and savings accounts, business and personal accounts, or accounts at multiple banks, you can link them all and get a consolidated view. Many of our users manage 3-4+ accounts and schedule alerts to track each one.
Q: Can my spouse or partner get alerts too?
A: Currently, alerts are sent to one phone number per account. If you and your partner both want to receive alerts, you would each need your own Secure the Bag account. We're exploring family plans for the future—if this is important to you, let us know at support@securethebag.ai.
Q: What time zone are alerts sent in?
A: Alerts are sent based on the time zone you set in your profile. If you schedule an alert for 1pm, it arrives at 1pm in your local time, whether you're in New York, Los Angeles, or anywhere else.
Q: Do I need to download an app?
A: Nope. No app. Just texts. That's the whole point.
Q: What banks do you support?
A: If Plaid supports it, we support it—that's most major banks and credit unions in the US. If yours doesn't connect, email us and we'll look into it.

Q: How secure is my financial data?
A: We use Plaid—the same encrypted tech behind thousands of financial apps. We never see or store your bank login. Your credentials go straight to your bank, not to us. We just get your balance and transactions, nothing else.
Q: Is my personal information private?
A: Yes. We use your data to text you your balance. That's it. We don't sell it, share it, or do anything creepy with it. Check our privacy policy if you want the legal version.
